Jack Hunter is an award-winning Writer, Actor & Spoken Word Poet.

As a disabled artist, I am motivated to tell stories that give voice to people who are oppressed and marginalised in society. Humour is an essential component of my work. I believe it has the transformative ability to question societal norms and open audiences up to challenging conversations.

    One-man comedy-drama about two twins growing up with cerebral palsy: Bec (a wheelchair user) and Jack (who walks with a limp). Each twin had a very different experience navigating life.

    After the launch of Sputnik (in 1957) the first satellite into space, the starting pistol in the space race between the USA and the Soviet Union was fired. Little did stray dogs Belka and Strelka know their names would soon be written in the stars.

Jack is an award-nominated actor that has worked on stage, screen & radio across the UK & Europe.

Notable Theatre credits include: The Pulitzer Prize winning Cost of Living (Hampstead Theatre). Kerbs (Graeae Theatre/ Belgrade Theatre). Teenage Dick (Donmar Theatre) All You Need is LSD (Told By An Idiot/ Birmingham Rep).

Screen credits include: Indefinitely (Hot Coals Productions); Annika (Black Camel Pictures) and Traces (Red Productions).

Radio work includes: Bartholomew Abominations (Naked Productions/ Graeae Theatre/ BBC Radio 4).
